September 2010: In a continuing effort to better serve our industry, we are proud to announce the opening of our new facility.Our Bladensburg, Maryland facility will be closed as of October 15, 2010. All equipment, personnel, and existing orders will be transferred to the 8420 Progress Court, Frederick, MD 21701 location. This is a very exciting time for our Company. We are confident the decision to move to a more modern and efficient facility will bring improved quality and faster service to our clients. These innovations will also help us control cost and maintain a competitive edge in a growing market.

April 2010: CounterTopia expands offerings to include cabinets, faucets, toilets and cabinet hardware. CounterTopia is introducing our own Keystone (Golden Maple) cabinet.

Radon-in-Granite Study Released:
Granite America recognizes the accumulating reports about health concerns when exposed to radon emissions from granite countertops. Dr. Chyi, a professor of Geochemistry at Akron University, OH, conducted a four-month study on 13 of the most popular granites used for kitchen countertops in the United States. Furthermore there are two new studies published in the scientifically peer-reviewed Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology which shows that granites used in countertops poses NO radon or radiation threat to consumers.
